Getting there
Fritzlar is about 160km north of Frankfurt.
Plane:
Frankfurt am Main is the closest airport. Coming from the UK, Lufthansa has several daily flights from Heathrow (Note: please don’t fly to Frankfurt Hahn as it is remotely located in a forest)
For people coming from London for the whole weekend we recommend this flight (but you’ll find plenty more options with Lufthansa/ British Airways on www.amadeus.net):

Coming from the US or further afield, there are of course numerous flight options.
Train: The nearest train station to Fritzlar is called Wabern. This journey from Frankfurt takes about 2 hours. We can then arrange for you to be picked up from Wabern station. This is the option we recommend and we will have some volunteers at the airport to help guide people to the correct train.
Taxis: These are also an option from the airport/other German cities to Fritzlar but obviously the most expensive one. However, let us know if you are considering it and we can get more details (re. price estimates) for you.
Car hire: For anyone wishing to hire a car, there is plenty of parking at the hotel, venue and church so that should not be a problem. At all German airports you will have the international car hire companies.
